Affora: Safe to Spend Today
Your bank balance is not the same thing as what you can afford to spend. Our own app, live on Google Play. Affora answers one question — what is genuinely safe to spend today, after everything already committed.
The problem
Every banking app shows a balance, and the balance lies. It counts money already owed to rent, EMIs, subscriptions and bills that have not left the account yet. People overspend early in the month not because they are careless but because the only number in front of them is wrong. We wanted to build the app that shows the honest number instead.
What we built
Affora works backwards from commitments. You tell it what is already claimed — recurring bills, EMIs, savings goals, the rent that leaves on the fifth — and it reports a single daily safe-to-spend figure that accounts for all of it. The whole product is designed around one number being trustworthy, which meant resisting every temptation to add dashboards and charts that would bury it. It is live on Google Play and we build and ship it ourselves, which is also how we keep our own mobile release pipeline sharp for client work.
